About
Access 47 was founded by Dr. Alexis Davis, executive leader, author, and creator of thoughtfully designed tools and resources that inspire clarity, creativity, organization, and meaningful action.
The inspiration for Access 47 came from the way Dr. Davis naturally worked. She often repurposed journals, planners, notebooks, drawing pads, sticky notes, and index cards to organize ideas, study, brainstorm, reflect, and manage daily priorities. While she values the convenience of digital tools, she has always believed there is something uniquely powerful about putting pen to paper, organizing thoughts, and experiencing the satisfaction of checking off a completed task.
She wanted to create intentional tools that blended beauty with purpose. Products that were visually inspiring while providing a thoughtful framework for execution. By offering a diverse collection of designs, each person can choose the one that speaks to them while benefiting from the same carefully designed experience inside.
The name Access 47 reflects that mission. Dr. Davis wanted to give people access to the knowledge, tools, and practical insights that had helped shape her own journey. Through thoughtfully designed journals and stationery, Access 47 equips people to think more intentionally, stay organized, and transform ideas into meaningful action.
Why 47?
Dr. Davis has long noticed the numbers 4, 7, and 47 appearing consistently throughout her life. While she believes everyone finds meaning in different experiences, these numbers have become deeply personal symbols that reflect the values guiding both her life and her work.
She also believes in the power of words and the significance numbers can hold. To her, the number 4 represents discipline, stability, consistency, and the strong foundations required to build something meaningful. The number 7, a number she has always personally identified with, represents curiosity, reflection, lifelong learning, wisdom, and the pursuit of deeper understanding. It reflects a desire to look beyond the surface, question assumptions, seek truth, and continually grow through knowledge and experience.
That personal connection became even more meaningful while writing her first book, The 47 Basic Rules of Leadership. As the manuscript developed, the framework naturally evolved into 47 distinct leadership principles. What began with her first book would later inspire additional books, including the children's book 47 Little Leadership Lessons, educational resources, and ultimately the creation of the Access 47 brand.
Today, Access 47 is more than a brand. It reflects a philosophy of building strong foundations, embracing lifelong learning, and intentionally executing what matters most.
Welcome to Access 47.
Where inspiration meets execution.
